We will assist you with photographers, videographers, spa and beauty services, music, and entertainment to fit every budget.
What is the cost of getting married at Belize Wedding Venues?
We have a package for every price point, whether you’re looking for an intimate getaway and ceremony or a large, lavish celebration. Our smallest packages start at just $1,275. We work with matching the perfect wedding to your budget.
What size of weddings can your resorts host?
We can accommodate any size of weddings - from elopements to up to 300 guests, we have the venue perfect for you.
The Placencia Resort can host Wedding Ceremony and Reception of up to 300 guests.
Hopkins Bay Resort can host Wedding Ceremony and Reception of up to 150 guests.
Copal Tree Lodge can host Wedding Ceremony and Reception of up to 40 guests.
Thatch Caye Resort can host Wedding Ceremony and Reception of up to 40 guests.
Sweet Songs Jungle Lodge can host Wedding Ceremony and Reception of up to 90 guests.
Royal Belize can host Wedding Ceremony and Reception of up to 16 guests.
Is there any requirement to book my wedding at your resorts?
We require that at least 75% of your wedding guests are staying at your chosen resort in order for us to execute your wedding. Ask about our special offer on accommodations for the bride and groom!
How do I book and confirm my wedding?
We’ll take care of everything for you! After an initial consultation, your wedding coordinator will send over a contract for your review. Once everything looks good, send us back a signed copy to hold your date!
The first step to book and confirm your wedding is to pay an advance deposit of 50%. This prepayment will hold your accommodation and the venue and Wedding date. You can also pay a deposit to do a room block, once this has been done and contract has been signed, Our wedding coordinator will provide you with a booking code so that you can pass on to your guests to be used for their room bookings. Full pre-payment is due 90 days prior to event date. A Banquet Event Order will be produced 45 days prior to event date and will highlight full details of your ceremony, reception and any other details related to your Wedding, and email for your approval.
Is there a minimum stay requirement?
We have a minimum 3-night stay requirement except for Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s where we require 5 nights minimum stay.
Will my marriage be official in my home country?
Yes! We’ll make sure you know all the details to make your Belizean ceremony legal in your home country!
A legal ceremony in Belize is recognized in your home country as long as you comply with all the applicable law requisites. Once married in Belize, we will apply for a marriage certificate from The Belize Registry department then fedex your marriage Certificate to your home address. This process takes approximately 2-3 months.

What are the marriage license requirements?
Easy! We will plan your arrival date so you have enough time to apply for the marriage license! Bring your passport and other required documents if needed (we’ll let you know what you may need depending on your wedding specifics!) and help you every step of the way.
After applying, we will assist you in getting it signed by a Justice of the Peace. Once you arrive in country The requirements when applying for a marriage license are, Bride and Groom must be in the country three business days prior to filing the petition of the license. (The day of arrival does not count.) This requirement can be avoided by applying for an expedited license (US$250 additional).
A fully completed marriage license application form notarized by a Justice of the Peace which we will assist in acquiring.
Photocopy of the front 2 pages of your passport and page showing arrival date into Belize.
IF EITHER PARTY HAS MARRIED BEFORE: Final divorce decrees required. Must be an original document with the court’s stamp or seal and original signature. Copies will not be accepted.
IF EITHER PARTY IS A WIDOW/ WIDOWER: Must have a copy of the death certificate.
IF EITHER PARTY IS UNDER 18: Parental consent and blood work is required.
